order, giving a motivation for each prize.
Prize
for the Best Film
| "Traum
l'Illusionista" digital video system, colour |
| by
Valentino Murgese and Riccardo Farina |
| |
Motivation:
For a suspended Kafkian dimension which scans the progressive approach
of the young character to the discovery and awareness of one's own
destiny. The counterpoint with the disturbing, phantasmagorical
shape of the conjurer, increases til the diapason thickness of metaphors
and mystery.

Conte
Prize Etex € 1.000,00
Prize for the Best Direction
| "Il
Volto di Mia Madre" 35mm , colour by Gian Paolo Cugno |
| |
Motivation:
For the bright cinematographic grammar and the ambition to recount
half century of memory drift far to the extreme encountering one's
own roots.
The regret and the yearning become matter/symbol through an old
piece of film, to represent the union between deepest human emotions
and cinema emotions.
Name-plate Salento Finibus Terrae realized by the sculptor Carmelo
Conte
Prize Associazione Mediterraneo €500,00
Prize for the Best Script
| "Kamikaze"
35mm, b/w by Fabrizio Ancillai |
| |
Motivation:
For the ability to narrate without particular emphasis, even though
with a consolatory end, the devastating phenomenon of Islamic terrorism
and the absolutist vision of a desperate Middle-East opposed to
the occidental civilization.
Name-plate Salento Finibus Terrae realized by the sculptor Carmelo
Conte
Prize Bricout
Prize for the Best Montage
| "Dolly"
super 8mm, colour by Antonio Di Napoli |
| |
Motivation:
For the courageous, experimental choice that is inclined to join
in a symbiotic manner a sort of anti-narration through images to
their unconventional syntax
Targa Salento Finibus Terrae realized by the sculptor Carmelo Conte
Prize for the Best Photography
| "L'ultimo
Pistolero" 35mm, b/w by Alessandro Dominici |
| |
Motivation:
For an elegant chromatic choice of a frozen black and white, that
perfectly photographs the epic atmospheres of last frontiers duels
, and definitely the extreme confrontation of a man with himself.
